Crafted with longevity & precision
I’m Luke
I’m a tattoo artist based in Cumbria, specialising in detailed, custom tattoo work with a particular love for realism, black and grey, colour, American traditional and larger-scale pieces.
For me, tattooing has never felt like just a job. I’ve always been drawn to art, whether that’s tattoos, films, comics, fantasy or anything with a strong visual story behind it. Tattooing became the place where all of that clicked. It’s something I can completely lose myself in, and even after years of doing it, I’m still constantly looking for ways to improve, learn and push my work further.
A big part of what I love about tattooing is taking somebody’s idea and turning it into something that feels completely their own. Sometimes a client arrives knowing exactly what they want; other times they have nothing more than a rough idea or a story they want to tell. Either way, the goal is the same — to create a tattoo that looks great, works with the body and is something they’ll still be proud to wear years from now.
Outside the studio, I’m a husband and dad, a massive fan of films, fantasy, comics and all things geeky, and I spend a fair bit of my spare time in the gym. So if your tattoo involves Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, superheroes, warriors, mythology or something equally nerdy, there’s a good chance I’ll be just as excited about it as you are.
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to build a loyal client base and to have people willing to travel, wait and trust me with some seriously important pieces. I never take that for granted.
Whether it’s your first tattoo or we’re planning the next stage of a full sleeve or back piece, I want the experience to feel relaxed, collaborative and personal from the moment you get in touch.
Good tattoos take time. Great tattoos are worth waiting for.

Black-and-Grey Realism
Detailed, shaded work built up entirely in black and grey.
American Traditional
Bold linework, solid colour and classic traditional imagery.
Colour Tattoos
Full-colour custom pieces, from small detail work to larger projects.
Geometric Tattoos
Precise linework and pattern-based designs built from shapes and symmetry.
Fine Line Tattoos
Delicate, minimal linework for simple designs and detailed linear pieces alike.
Built around your idea
Bring a finished concept, a handful of reference images, or just the early idea — Luke works with you to develop a design that fits the body, the placement and what you’re actually after. That includes first tattoos, memorial pieces, sleeves and larger projects, cover-ups, and repeat work for existing clients.

The work speaks for itself
Couldn’t recommend Luke enough. He’s incredibly talented, professional and genuinely cares about every piece he does. He takes the time to listen to what you want, makes you feel completely at ease, and somehow always manages to make the finished tattoo even better than you imagined. His attention to detail is unreal — there’s a reason he’s booked months in advance. — Leah Agnew
From start to finish, Luke was fantastic. He really listened to what I wanted and took my initial idea, turning it into something even better. He sent over concept drawings beforehand so we were on the same wavelength. Friendly, professional and genuinely interested in creating something I’d love — I’d highly recommend Luke to anyone looking for a talented tattoo artist. — Nik McKean
Luke has been working in tattooing since 2019, full-time since 2023.
